This policy describes what information Veralex ("we", "us") collects when you use the Veralex website, dashboard, and license-management service, and how we use it.

Information we collect

• Account information. When a vendor account is created, we collect a name and email address for each dashboard user, used to sign in and to send account-related email such as confirmation and password-reset messages.
• License and seat activity. The license service records seat checkouts, heartbeats, and check-ins — including a client identifier, lease timestamps, and the product and tenant they belong to. This is the core function of the service.
• Operational logs. Our servers keep standard technical logs (IP address, request path, timestamp, user agent) for security monitoring and troubleshooting.

How we use it

• To operate the license service: enforcing seat counts, expiring stale leases, and showing vendors their usage in the dashboard.
• To send transactional email — account confirmations, password resets, and important service notices. We do not send marketing email without your consent.
• To secure the service: detecting abuse, debugging failures, and auditing administrative actions.

What we don't do

• We do not sell or rent personal information to anyone.
• We do not share your data with third parties except for service providers strictly needed to operate Veralex (such as hosting and email delivery), and only to the extent required.
• We do not use tracking cookies or third-party analytics on this website.

Data isolation and retention

Each vendor's license data is stored in its own isolated database on a dedicated license server. Account and license records are retained for as long as the vendor account is active; operational logs are retained for a limited period and then deleted. When an account is closed, its data is removed within a reasonable time thereafter.

Your rights

You may request a copy of the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Contact us at hello@veralex.dev and we will respond within a reasonable timeframe.

If we make material changes to this policy, we will update this page and adjust the "Last updated" date above.
